A user gets an access denied message in Publication Manager. After logging in to Publication Manager, and attempting to browse the repository user gets “Access Denied.” PM was working fine for a few hours in the morning.
Users can use the Web client without issue
Other users are not experiencing the issue
This same issue occurs when attempting to add a new account to the Client Tools
Resolution
Compare laptop time to server time. If they are different by more than 5 minutes, communications will be affected.
The sync issue can be either on the local machine or the server
If the sync issue is on the local machine, only that user will be affected and will be resolved by setting the correct time on the local machine.
If the sync issue is on the server-side all users will be affected and will be resolved by setting the correct time on the server,
Root Cause
User local machine time out of sync with the server by more than 5 minutes. Server time is out of sync with users by more than 5 minutes.
