Symptoms/Context

When trying to activate a single-user license in Trados Studio or a Network license in the License Server Manager you receive the below error message:

The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required

Resolution

There are two solutions for cases when the computer is connecting to the internet through a Proxy server.

Solution 1:

For single-user licenses: Offline activation and deactivation of a Single User License for Trados Studio 2015, Passolo 2016 and later
For 2019, 2017 and 2015 Network licenses: Offline activation and deactivation of a Network License for Trados Studio 2019 and older, Passolo 2018 and older or T rados Business Manager
For 2021 and 2022 Network licenses: Offline activation and deactivation of a Network License for Trados Studio 2021 and later

Solution 2:

Ask your IT Engineers to add exceptions on the proxy servers for:
License Server: 35.241.0.149
OOS server: 51.68.185.201
Https port 443
