Below is an overview of which Services are used for which components of Trados GroupShare 2017 SR1 and higher (e.g: Trados GroupShare 2020 and Trados GroupShare 2020 SR1).

Root Cause

In most environments, all components of Trados GroupShare are installed in order to facilitate an upgrade in the future only via a license upgrade instead of having to install the missing required components for the relevant product component that has been purchased.

If the installation is for example only done for the MultiTerm Server component, the services related to TM server/Online Editor/Project Server would not be installed.

In some environments, there is for example no need at the moment to use the Online Editor. To reduce a certain amount of resources taken by the respective services, it would be possible to stop all services related to the Online Editor.
A similar approach can be applied to other components as seen in the below table.
