Unable to connect to translation provider error when connecting from the Trados Studio plugin resulting in the error:

"The translation provider 'Language Weaver Edge provider' could not be opened and has been disabled."

Try the following:

1. Confirm the correct Language Weaver Edge translation engine is configured and has available language Pairs.
2. Confirm you have valid login credentials.  If you are using an API Key, generate a new key and try again.
3. There are no firewalls or other network software or configurations that could be blocking the messages.
4. Reset your Trados Studio settings (workaround 2 from the following article: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001414) and attempt to enter the credentials for the plugin again. Rename the Studio16 folder from C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16. Then try again to add the LW Edge. 
5. If you have a long list of projects in the Projects list, remove all projects that contain language pairs not supported by your Language Weaver Edge provider, and then try again. 
6. Exit Studio.  Where the Add-in is downloaded, select the Add-in file and right click on it to view properties of the file.  On the General tab, at the bottom under Security, select the Unblock checkbox, and try again. 

Currently the credentials for the Language Weaver Edge plugin need to be entered in a precise order:

1. Host
2. Port
3. Requires secure protocol (tick box)
4. Use SDL Credentials (radio button)
   1. Name
   2. Password
5. Use API Key (radio button)
   1. API Key

If Studio has any stored credentials for the plugin, it will automatically add them and if they are invalid, the above process will not work.
