Symptoms/Context
You receive the following error message when selecting the HunSpell Checker in Trados Studio.
Unexpected dictionary file format. First line should contain word count. Dictionary File: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SpellChecker\CUSTOM.dic
Resolution
Go to the C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SpellChecker location and rename the CUSTOM.dic file into CUSTOM.dic_old. Restart Trados Studio and check if the problem still persist.
Root Cause
The CUSTOM.dic file from that location is corrupt.
