Error message : Convert to translatable format fails

Resolution

Open the file in Microsoft Word.
Select Save As then in the Save As dialogue box select Save As Type as Word document(*.docx) instead of Strict open XML document(*.docx).
Recreate project using newly created file.

Root Cause

File was saved in .DOCX format as Strict open XML Type and SDL Trados Studio does not support this filter.
