You translate a file in Trados Studio that has tracked changes and obtain a translated sdlxliff. You want to use that sdlxliff to run Perfect Match on the same file that has merged segments. The below examples gives some scenarios at how Perfect Match will work.

You process the same file that has merged segments without tracked changes -

Perfect Match with option "Lock segments" enabled - All segments translated

Perfect Match with option "Keep initial segment origin and status" enabled - All segments translated

You process the same file that has merged segments with tracked changes -

Perfect Match with option "Lock segments" enabled - No translations - Intended behavior from CRQ-9858

Perfect Match with option "Keep initial segment origin and status" enabled - Some content is translated (Perfect Match cannot merge the affected segments because they are changed due to the tracked changes)

You process the same file that has merged segments without tracked changes and run Perfect Match with a file that has Tracked changes -

Perfect Match with option "Lock segments" enabled - All translated - "Lock segments" applies tracked changes before Perfect Match in the original file

Perfect Match with option "Keep initial segment origin and status" enabled - No translations - Perfect Match takes into account that the original file has existing tracked changes
