Symptoms/Context

You have a project containing (a) bilingual Excel file(s). When trying to generate the target file (for example using the command File > Save target as...), the following error occurs and the target file is not saved:

Failed to save target content: Error in implicit conversion. Cannot convert null object.

Resolution

Open the source file in MS Excel and simply save a copy using the command Save as... Use this copy to create a new project, as described here: How to recreate a bilingual SDLXLIFF file in Trados Studio.

Root Cause

The error occurs when processing files edited with POEditor. The issue has been logged for our Development and a fix will be implemented in a future Trados Studio update.
