Error when saving a file in Trados Studio: "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file for %2"

Trados Studio
Symptoms/Context
You are trying to save the bilingual file you are working on in Trados Studio, but the error below occurs and the file is not saved:

The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file for %2.
Resolution
As a workaround, try to restart Trados Studio or the computer (if the translation memory was updated, you will be able to retrieve your translations later).

If the problem persists, perform a Check Disk (chkdsk) operation on your computer by following the below steps:

1. Type “command prompt” in the search bar of Windows and run it as administrator. Note: Click ‘Yes’ if it prompts for permission.
2. In the command prompt, type ‘chkdsk /r’ and press the Enter key.
3. Answer Y when chkdsk asks you if you want to check the drive next time the computer boots (restarts).
4. Restart your computer.

IMPORTANT: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive, if any bad sectors are found when chkdsk tries to repair that sector, any data available on that might be lost. Therefore, our recommendation would be to back up important data before you proceed, for example on an external hard drive.

 
Root Cause
This seems to affect Windows 11 operating system (update 22H2) and it is not necessarily a Trados Studio issue, but it will be checked by our development team.
