Translation units are not imported when importing the *.tmx file into a translation memory

Symptoms/Context
When trying to import the *.tmx file into a local or a server based translation memory, the import shows that the import was successful but when checking the translation memory there aren't any translation units imported.
Resolution
Check the o-tmf format from the *.tmx file and if this is different than "SDL TM8 Format" change it.
Open *.tmx file in text editor
Look for o-tmf="different format" and replace it with o-tmf="SDL TM8 Format">
