We found that we could rename the existing dll and move it out of the folder. We then copied the updated dll into the folder successfully.Other suggested troubleshooting tasks:
- Confirm that all IIS Trisoft app pools, Trisoft-InfoShare-Author COM+ application, and the Trisoft InfoShare BackgroundTask One service are shut down.
- Shut down the TranslationBuilder service.
- Check for similarly named dlls in the same folder – this can conflict.
- Verify that other users are logged out of the server.
- Confirm that CloudOps has stopped sensors during the updates and keeps services shut down.
- To see if the dll is still being used by another process, download https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/listdlls on the server. Run as an administrator and capture the results. Search for the dll name.
- Make sure the dll isn't blocked in its properties; right-click the dll and view Properties. On the General tab, there may be a Security section with an Unblock button option. If so, unblock it.
- If there are still problems, it may be necessary to request the servers to be rebooted; the server may need some system updates, or rebooting may clear other processes still running the dll.
