Adding DeepL plugin to a project makes the Pre-translate batch task option to automatically switch from "Leave target segment empty" to "Apply automated translation"

Symptoms/Context

In Trados Studio 2022 CU6, when you add only the DeepL plugin during project creation or after the project is created, the option Leave target segment empty - which is the default Pre-translate Files setting for When no match found category - automatically switches to Apply automated translation:

Resolution

For a temporary fix, add Cloud-based resources as well or change the setting back manually. To avoid this in the future, use a project template where the option Apply automated translation is switched off.

Root Cause

This is a feature intended by design.
