When opening Trados Studio you receive the: Object reference not set to an instance of an object (see image 1) error message. After clicking on OK, Trados Studio opens normally but if you try to open a file for translation you receive the same message again, with a different stacked trace (see image 2).

 

We managed to solve the issue by creating a new Windows User.

The issue is caused by a corrupt Windows User.
