You start installing Trados Studio 2024 or MultiTerm 2024 from your RWS Account. After extracting the components, the installation stops due to Chainer or Chainerhost errors, or because prerequisite components failed to install. You may receive one of the following error messages: Set-up did not complete. The error is: Package ‘SDL Trados Legacy Compatibility Module for Studio 2024’ could not be installed. Fatal error during installation. Error number: 1603. Error 1722: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Root element is missing. An unhandled exception of type 'System.Resources.MissingManifestResourceException' occurred in mscorlib.dll An error occurred and the program was aborted. You can try running the program again but if the same problem repeat, please generate a debug (usually found in C:\ProgramData\SDL\Chainer\Logs) and contact support.
