When translating Excel file (XLSX) in Language Weaver Machine Translation, some of the first words are not translated. When the strings are copied to Language Weaver UI, they are translated correctly. Why is this ? 

The issue is raised to development under defect "CRQ-38955"
Workaround : Remove ZERO WIDTH NON-JOINER' (U+200C) characters from the Excel file. 

Affected source strings have Unicode Character 'ZERO WIDTH NON-JOINER' (U+200C) ' in front of the first word and therefore it was ignored and not translated. When strings are copied into Language Weaver UI, the invisible spacing characters were removed.
