Some Users cannot log in for the first time to Trados Enterprise or Customer Portal via SSO

000022543 |10/7/2024 4:47 AM
Scope/Environment
Customer Portal and Trados Enterprise
Symptoms/Context
When a new user tries to login to Customer Portal or Trados Enterprise they get the error message as shown below (You are not Authorized to access Trados)
Error Message
Resolution
There are 2 solutions when the issue occurred:
  1. Ask your IT department to correct the user email address with only lower-case characters
  2. Ask RWS Support to add a new domain with the upper-case characters in your SSO environment

Root Cause
The SSO domains that been configured for client's Trados Enterprise or Customer Portal environment, would usually only contain lower-case characters (ex: @mydomainname.com). If the user email address has any upper-case characters (ex: my.email.address@MydomainName.com) they won't be able to authenticate in TE or CP via SSO.
