The
Content Datastore database stores the published content in a file system, a relational database, custom storage media, or a combination of these, and its size cannot be reduced in order to save disk space unless you opt for the following options:
- Unpublish obsolete/unecessary content
- Store the binaries which are the largest data in a dedicated location (eg: Digital Asset Management, a container for objects, etc.)
