Is it possible to open a WorldServer or Studio Return package in Trados Studio and if not, is there a workaround?

WorldServer
Question
If translation project packages were provided in the format of WorldServer translation packages (WSXZ) to a linguist, and WorldServer return packages (SDLRPX.WSXZ) or Trados Studio return packages (SDLRPX) were received back from the linguists, would it be possible for a project manager (PM) to open the return packages in Trados Studio and associate them with the Trados Studio project(s) created from the WSXZ in Trados Studio? If this is not immediately possible, could this be achieved through some manipulation of the return package files?
Answer
WorldServer or Studio Return packages cannot be opened directly in Trados Studio. They are meant to be imported back into the project from which they were originally exported. However, there is an easy workaround to open the translated files included in the Return package.

1- A WorldServer Return package is essentially a ZIP file. You can extract it using 7zip, Winzip, Winrar, or any archiving tool. If necessary, rename it to *.zip first. After extracting it, you will find the translated SDLXLIFF file inside the package.

2- Meanwhile, the Project Manager (PM) should open the original/exported WorldServer (WSXZ) package in Trados Studio. After opening it, it will appear as a WorldServer Package Studio project.

3- The PM right-clicks on the WorldServer (Studio) project and selects Open Project Folder:

4- The project folder will open in the Studio Projects directory in Explorer. The relevant subfolder is the target language folder. Here is an example:

5- The language folder contains the (untranslated) bilingual files. The PM can now copy the translated SDLXLIFF files from the Return package (step 1) into this folder and overwrite the untranslated ones. Normally, the SDLXLIFF files should have the same name.

6- After replacing the original, untranslated SDLXLIFF files with the translated ones from the Return package, the PM can open them normally in Trados Studio and check them. Additionally, the PM can make changes to the translated segments and/or create a new WorldServer Return package to be uploaded to WorldServer.
