TMS - Inbox tasks suddenly disappear

Scope/Environment
TMS
Symptoms/Context
When a user logs into the TMS, the Inbox and Project views do do not show any information or list any problems despite the user knowing that they have received notifications for new requests and also the side bar is showing that they should have jobs in their Inbox.

Inbox Empty
Resolution
To resolve you can either:
  • Revert to Standard Inbox 
1. Go to My Details
2. Click at the Edit icon in the Menu bar
3. Click at the User Preferences tab
4. Uncheck the Enable Inbox technical preview option

  • Run a short query in the console of a browser to Reset the filters
1. Go to Home > Inbox
2. Right-click and choose Inspect (Ctrl + Shift + l) 
3. Click on the Console tab
4. Paste in $.ajax({method: "PUT", url:"/interface/inbox/persisttablefilters?tableId=49&userId=" + Tms.Session.GetValue("UserID"), data: {grouping: "", searchFilter: ""}});
5. Hit enter
6. Click Refresh
7. Click Save View

Root Cause
There was a saved inbox filter that was causing a Javascript error and not allowing the Technical Inbox to display properly.

If a user searches for a Job name containing an apostrophe and that search is saved, the Inbox will not subsequently load.
